David Avenue Connector
Project Description
The David Avenue Connector project involved the construction of 1 km of four-lane arterial roadway through central Coquitlam, including a major crossing of the Coquitlam River. The work included excavation, grading, paving, concrete works, retaining walls, acoustic fencing, storm and water infrastructure, street lighting, utility installations, landscaping, and intersection signalization.
A key component of the project was the construction of a 126-metre, four-lane bridge supported by four piled spans, along with environmental habitat compensation works that included the creation of an overwintering pond along the Coquitlam River foreshore.
