Architectural Wall – Coquitlam Watershed

Project Description

For this project, SWC installed temporary and permanent shotcrete walls to facilitate construction of the Coquitlam UV Disinfection Plant. Approximately 1,700m² of temporary shotcrete were installed, with approximately 750m² of the temporary walls in the northwest corner of the site converted to permanent walls with an architectural finish.

The permanent shotcrete walls consisted of 150mm of structural shotcrete. Once the structural portion of the wall was complete an architectural build-out simulating exposed rock was created. The architectural build-out averages 150-200mm. The wall is approximately 120m long and up to 9m high.

Scope of work

  • 685m² of 150mm structural shotcrete wall
