Partridge Siding Grading and Cathedral Lake Control Structure
Project Description
Installation of a new siding east of the Canadian Pacific Railway’s Spiral Tunnels in the Canadian Rockies.
This project involved blasting and grading of a 1-mile section to install a new siding just east of the Spiral Tunnels in the Canadian Rockies. Other works included grading, pile installation and cast-in-place concrete improvements to the Mt. Stephen’s snow shed, as well as draining down, drilling a drain shaft, and installing a design-build drainage structure in a glacial lake at the 9,000 foot elevation on Cathedral Mountain.
