Vancouver Heights Reservoir Seismic Upgrade
Project Description
The GVRD began upgrading the reservoirs to new seismic codes in the 1990’s. One of the first reservoirs upgraded required the installation of DCP tie-down anchors beneath the roof of the existing reservoir, in a low-overhead environment. SWC now has two drilling rigs; one diesel, and one electric, capable of drilling fully-cased anchor holes. Height restrictions of 9’ and door widths of 40” are possible.
